What is Spellty OTP?
Spellty OTP is an API that sends one-time passcodes by WhatsApp to verify a phone number or sign in a user. Your application asks Spellty to generate and send the code, and later asks it to validate the code the user typed.
How long is the code and how long does it last?
The code has between 6 and 8 digits and lasts from 5 seconds to 1 hour. Both are set for the service and can be changed in each request.
How is the code sent?
The code travels in a WhatsApp authentication template. You choose the template and the language in each request.
Can I know if the message was delivered?
Yes. Set a webhook and Spellty notifies your application when the message is sent or fails.
Can I try it before I sign up?
Yes. The live try-out on this page sends a real code to your WhatsApp number.
